What I built

  • Started with a bare wall between the counters and the upper cabinets
  • Held the tile against the counter first to check the green against the marble
  • Tiled the whole run in dark green subway tile, including around the window and behind the range
  • Carried the same tile through to the coffee bar niche so the two read as one job
